What is it?
Why CYWC?
Fight For Hearts in partnership with Syracuse University’s Exercise Science department created a unique certification aimed at youth fitness training. Combining the latest in exercise science, chronic disease management, and practical youth fitness knowledge, we were able to provide a one of a kind learning experience. We are taking the athletes approach to train our youth in the sport of ‘Health’. This means that CYWC is aimed at non-athlete population.
Our goal is to not only provide the theoretical and practical knowledge to train children, but also require coaches to move well, demonstrate exercise correctly, have a coaching voice, and lead successful wellness programs. With safety in mind, coaches will learn how to progress/regress exercises based on abilities, increase engagement, learn about special needs children and much more. Combining and online exam and in person practical, sets CYWC as the only youth program of its kind with the strictest passing criteria.
CYWC is helping you become the best trainer in the sport of Health.
How it works
Who is this for
We created this certification from our experience working with various different partners. Our goal is to get the following groups certified:
Community Center Staff
School District Staff
Parents
Fitness Trainers
If you are a business or a facility that works with children, reach out to us and we can discuss on location staff training. We believe that educating as many adults will help create sustainable youth wellness programs, and decrease the chronic disease epidemic. Reach out to us to learn more.
